Things to remember

J.Riley: "Dad what if my balls drop to the ground."

I had to leave the room for the answer to this one :)

Today we were at a stop light on the way to school in front of a store that always has prom looking dresses in the big front window.

J.Riley- "Hey Mom, do you want to buy one of those dresses if they go on sale?"

Me- "sure, but only if they go on sale."

J.Riley- " Do you want to buy the yellow one, pink one or the rabbit one?" (referring to the leopard print dress)

Me.- "The yellow one is pretty."

J.Riley- "How will we get it if it is behind the glass?"

Celebrating Easter

I love Easter and all that it brings. I love the Spring weather, the beautiful trees and flowers blooming, cute shoes, great spring clothes, and so many other signs of the Easter season. However, most importantly, I love celebrating Christ's death and resurrection and being reminded once again of His love for us! How he suffered and endured such agony on the cross, died and was buried and with that so were our sins, and how he rose from the grave the 3 days later so we can know that HE IS ALIVE!

A few pictures to show how we celebrate our King!

What else??

I think part of my lack of blogging these days has something to with the fact that I think anyone who took the time to read our blog would be totally BORED out of their minds! I have decided to put that thought aside and just do it. Do it for my kids so that they have something to look back at. More like a scrapbook for them. So as boring as you might think it is, this blog is going to be the ins and outs of a our days.

Since a BIG part of my life seems to be feeding my family I thought I would start with our menu for the week. No, I will not post our menu every week. But it is something that I work very hard on. Making the menu, making the list, going to the store, and then cooking the meal... and praying it tastes edible! So something worth blogging about?? I think so!

Mon.- Pan seared tilapia with a blueberry/blue cheese spinach salad
Tue.-Beef Fajitas, guacamole and chips and Spanish rice
Wed.- Date night (kid food)
Thur.-Steak shish kabobs with baked potatoes
Fri.- Pesto pork tenderloin, grilled asparagus and squash
Sat. Papa Murphys Pizza and salad

The weather is going to be gorgeous grilling weather this week!!
