18 Months old!

I am going to dedicate this post to my sweet baby girl Ava. She is growing up so fast (18 months in 5 days!) I sometimes wish I could press pause and she would just stay little forever. J.Riley goes to pre school 2 days a week and I cherish the Ava and mommy time that I get to have with just her. She is so easy going and so much fun! Here are a few pictures of some of her favorite things to do at the moment.

smelling Mommy's flowers
Loves to chat!
Such a good helper

cooking with my apron on of course!

Friday night Fun!

We started our weekend out with a bang! We were joined by our friends the Harmans for dinner at our house! We are so blessed to have such a great community of friends here in Johnson City Tn. Whenever I ask myself "why do we live in this small mountain town with absolutely no shopping and nothing to do on a Friday night?" God simply reminds me of the people he has placed in our life here! We are blessed beyond belief and I truly do not know what we would do without such great friends! The Harmans are a family that we met last spring. I met Lindsey through play group and she was kind enough to invite us to a "yard of the month" party at her house where Andy and Brent hit it off. We are at similar points in life, 2 small children, a mortgage to pay, still have hard time accepting the Democrats controling our well being :) and still love to have a good time! We are so thankful for our good friends the Harmans and we are looking forward to watching our children grow with theirs as well as having many great times together!

Rewind one more time!

OK, this is the last post I am going to post of previous days..from here on out we are moving on! This just doesn't happen here very often!

A few weeks ago we actually had snow it East Tennessee! YEAH!I mean it's pretty pitiful, but when you've gone without for so long....it doesn't take much to get you excited! When I woke J.Riley Up that morning I pulled his blinds up and his face just lit up!

J.Riley: "SNOW!"

Mommy: "Would you like to play in the snow today?"

J.Riley: " Mommy, can I eat breakfast later and play in the snow NOW?"

It was so much fun to watch him get so excited! J. Ri doesn't show excitement for to much these days. Daddy even stuck around to play with us for a little bit in the morning. We were thrilled to see that J.Riley actually enjoyed it..we might even get him on the slopes this winter...I know I am probably crazy.

Ava was not too thrilled about the cold but she loved watching from the window.

A few pictures from January

J.Riley & Ava at Sesame Street Live! They had a blast!

We had a lobster dinner with some friends of ours (Kelley, Clay and Campbell) to bring in the New Year. This was the first time the kiddos had seen a live lobster! J.Riley was timid at first but was picking one up by the end of it all.

Am I really blogging?

I am not one to make New Years resolutions. I did however decide I was going to start blogging this year. We have many family members that do not live close enough to participate in our everyday life, I thought this would be a great tool to keep them in the loop. Also, with a 3 and 1 year old I find myself constantly saying "I need to write that down" through out the day..they say and do some of the most hysterical things! So here we go, I am officially blogging!
